This holiday season, Mickey Mouse went on a first-of-its-kind global giving journey to help deliver toys to children in need around the world, including in Sydney, Australia.
Dressed in his holiday best, Mickey Mouse made a surprise visit and helped deliver toys and create happiness for kids in need.
Disney VoluntEARS from Disney Studios Australia wrapped hundreds of toys for children visiting Starlight Express Rooms at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
The Sydney Starlight Express Rooms were filled with crafts, baking, music and fun to celebrate and Disney VoluntEARS helped distribute the gifts to the children in the hospitals. Munchlings, Mandalorian and Grogu, and Black Panther from Disney Store were all gifted in readiness for a festive ‘Disney Day’ hosted with Starlight Children’s Foundation.
This activation builds on the ongoing support Disney provides Starlight across the country through the Disney Movie Moments, bringing the magic of Disney to kids and families in Starlight Express Rooms.
Mickey’s visit was part of the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, which kicked off in New York and involved visiting schools, hospitals and charities around the world to deliver toys to children in need and spread some holiday cheer.
As part of his world tour, Mickey wrapped up his journey in a final stop at Walt Disney World where he joined dozens of Cast Members and local Marines on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom and celebrated with a parade down Main Street complete with the Philharmonic Band!
