Makeup tutorial: Get Aurora’s look from Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
Break out the blush for this whimsical look.
Elle Fanning’s Aurora is the epitome of youthful innocence so it’s no surprise this Aurora inspired makeup tutorial is light, fresh and radiant, with a floral twist.
Disney has partnered with M.A.C cosmetics for a series of makeup tutorials inspired by the film’s three female leads: Maleficent, Aurora and Queen Ingrith.
M.A.C makeup artist Lily Hampton has created this whimsical floral winged eye for the Aurora look and we can totally see ourselves wearing this for a summer festival.
Get the look:
1. Start with M.A.C’s hydrating spray Fix Plus
2. Apply light foundation and only light concealer in the areas that need it
3. Use M.A.C’s Blush Baby on the cheeks to add a rosy glow. Add the blush to the top of the cheeks and down the center of the face, including nose and cupid bow.
4. Use the pen end of M.A.C’s Shape and Shade brow tint to draw hairs through the eyebrow. This process known as feathering keeps the brows looking natural and fluffy.
Top tip: If your brows a looking a bit sparse, you can use eye shadow to fill them in.
5. Using a fluffy brush, apply M.A.C’s Swish eye shadow across the whole eyelid.
6. For the flowers you can use a mixture of white crema cake and Metallic Rose liquid lipstick from M.A.C.
7. Using a pointed eyeliner brush and a very steady hand dot on the flowers.
Top tip: To stabilise your hand rest your elbow on a table.
8. Finish off the look with mascara and lip gloss.
Top tip: To keep the skin looking alive, finish the look with fix plus, a soothing and hydrating mist. It’ll take away that powdery finish of any powder products you put on.
